HIC800 High Idle Controller for 2003 and newer GM vehicles - Gasoline and Diesel Engines

The High Idle Controller is designed to increase the idle RPM on late model GMC and Chevy engines (2003 and up) with electronic throttle control, also known as drive by wire or ETC.

The High Idle Controller is triggered by a 12V signal and increases the idle RPM to a user adjustable level. Easy to install, the unit plugs into the accelerator pedal harness.  You need only to connect 4 wires -- 12V wire, Ground wire, Interlock wire, and Manual ON wire.

Interfaces with:

2003 and newer Chevy/GMC engines with electronic throttle control (drive by wire) with 4.8 liter, 5.3 liter, 6.0 liter, 8.1 liter engines

Vehicles include Hummer H2, Suburban, Tahoe, Yukon, Yukon XL, Escalade, 1500, 2500, 3500 and 3500HD trucks

Operation:

• Provides one user adjustable high idle RPM to increase alternator or hydraulic pump output
• RPM range: Idle to 2000 RPM
• Prevents electrical system failure
• Allows emergency vehicles to run lights, computers & radios without draining vehicle's battery
• Use as a manual ON high idle system or with the optional automatic battery charge protect feature
• With the automatic battery charge protect feature, high idle is automatically activated when the battery voltage drops below 13V for 10 seconds. High idle can also be manually activated
• Built in interlock, high idle will only activate when the vehicle is in PARK for automatic transmissions, and parking brake engaged for manual transmissions.
