HIC-VM Voltage Monitor

The HIC-VM monitors the vehicles battery voltage and engages the HIC 500 high idle controller when battery voltage drops below 12.6V for 10 seconds.

The Voltage Monitor will trigger the high idle controller when insufficient alternator output causes the battery voltage to drop. When the battery voltage drops below 12.6V for a period of 10 seconds the high idle controller will be enabled. The LOW VOLTAGE LED will indicate a low voltage condition. The LED will be lit with the ignition ON and will go out once the engine is started and the battery voltage rises above 12.6V.

Once the high idle controller is enabled it will remain on until reset by the interlock or the engine is turned off.

Applying 12V to the MANUAL ON terminal of the voltage monitor will also trigger the high idle controller as long as the interlock is satisfied.

When using the HIC-S1 HIGH IDLE switch, the high idle can be manually actuated regardless of the battery voltage.

The HIC-VM be used on ANY vehicle to monitor battery voltage. It will switch any 12V load (2 amp max).
